      The Greenville Zoo is excited to have Prisma Health as the 2019 title sponsor of Boo in the Zoo, the Greenville Zoo’s signature Halloween event. Prisma Health Boo in the Zoo takes place October 18-20 & 25-27 and will feature 20 trick-or-treat stations; character photo opportunities, including princesses; an extinct species graveyard, Dragon Alley and Alice's Fun House! Event hours are 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is FREE for Greenville Zoo Member Adults, $8 for Member Trick-or-Treaters, $6 for Non-member Adults and $9 for Non-member Trick-or-Treaters. Admission for Boo Babies (age 0-2) is free, and they are not considered Trick-or-Treaters. If you want your baby (age 0-2) to be able to trick-or-treat, please purchase a trick-or-treat ticket. Corporate group rates are also available. Please call the zoo office at 864-467-4300 for details. Tickets can be purchased online. Tickets purchased on Eventbrite may be redeemed at Prisma Health Boo in the Zoo any event date. Children must be accompanied by an adult and everyone is invited to come in costume. For safety reasons, attendees are asked not to bring plastic pumpkins, Halloween bags or sacks. Instead, the zoo will provide special commemorative trick-or-treat bags for the trick-or-treaters. The Greenville Zoo Conservation program will give a portion of the event proceeds to the Saving Animals from Extinction (S.A.F.E.) Foundation. Last year the event donated $3,000 to S.A.F.E. and plans to give $5,000 in 2019. The Greenville Zoo will also provide trick-or-treat bags that are made out of recyclable material and the candy provided is all Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil approved. Thank you to our sponsors! Trick or treating is available for all ages. Members must show their member card and photo ID. Adults must be accompanied by a child for entry.   What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?   The event will feature a free park and ride service, provided by Greenlink. Each night, starting one hour before the event, three buses will transport event attendees from County Square (301 University Ridge) to the zoo. The buses will run continuously between the two locations starting an hour before the scheduled event time until an hour after. Attendees are strongly encouraged to utilize this free service, as parking will not be permitted on Woodland Way (from Cleveirvine Avenue to McDaniel Avenue) or on Woodland Way Circle and parking is limited in the park.   What can/can't I bring to the event?   No pets are allowed. Trick-or-treating bags will be provided. No outisde bags are permitted. Everyone is encouraged to dress in costume, although it is not required. As with all events at the zoo, there is no smoking. I can't come on the date I bought tickets for. Can I use my tickets for another night? You may use your ticket on any night. If you purchased your ticket online, please let the ticket attendant know that you are visiting on a date other than your assigned date so they can find the appropriate guest list. They retire to their dens or nighthouses at dusk for their safety.  Is my registration/ticket transferrable?   Yes, you can give it to a friend if you are unable to use it. The name on the ticket doesn't need to match the guest. If you transfer or give away a member ticket, the person redeeming the ticket must be a member and show their membership card and photo ID at the gate.   Can I buy tickets at the Zoo or at the event?   Tickets can be purchased before the event at the zoo ticket booth daily from 10:00 AM until 4:15 PM or at the zoo business office Monday through Friday 8:00 AM until 4:45 PM. Pre-purchased tickets can be used any of the six event nights that Boo in the Zoo is offered.  Tickets can also be purchased the night of the event. We accept cash, checks with photo ID and credit cards with a photo ID. You are encouraged to purchase in advance to reduce your wait times. You can purchase a ticket on while standing in line and then show your tickets at the gate on your smart phone.  If purchasing tickets on Eventbrite, please purchase your tickets for the night you are going to the event.  I am a member, if I buy a pre-sale ticket, do I still need to show my membership card and ID at Boo in the Zoo?  Yes, a membership card is required and each named zoo member must show their photo ID. Also, you must have an adult ticket for each adult and an infant ticket if your child is 2 and under and is not trick-or treating. Can I use my reciprocal zoo membership to get the member rate?   Sorry, not for a special event. Reciprocal zoo members pay regular Boo in the Zoo ticket prices.  I have a membership with the Guest option. Can I bring my guest(s) with me and pay the member discounted rate?   Yes, guests may attend as long as it is part of your membership.   I have “Guest/Complimentary Tickets,” can I use them for this event?   We’re sorry, “Guest & Complimentary Tickets,” are not valid for special events.  I have a baby, do you charge for babies?   We do not charge for babies, however, if you want them to be able to trick-or-treat, you will need to buy a trick-or-treaters ticket for them; included is the trick-or-treat approved bag.  I’m an adult and want to trick or treat. Can I?  Adults are welcome to upgrade to a child ticket so they can trick-or-treat.  Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? If you purchase your ticket online, you can show the ticket barcode on your smartphone at check-in. Of course, printed tickets are also accepted.   What is the refund policy?   There are no refunds for this event. You may give your tickets to another family if you are unable to attend. Keep in mind that only members may redeem member tickets. The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?  That's fine.
