Spackenkill High School's Spack OnStage presents Little Shop of Horrors!

Spackenkill High School’s Spack Onstage is excited to present their fall musical Little Shop of Horrors! This iconic cult favorite with infectious music that combines rock, Motown and Broadway, also additionally described as a horror, comedy, rock musical has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for more than 30 years. Not your typical boy meets girl story, Little Shop of Horrors is a delightfully demented rock horror comedy that the New York Times described as “Exuberant…leaves the audience ravenous for more.” On Skid Row, Seymour is your average, nerdy, down on your luck floral assistant. That all changes when he stumbles across a power-hungry, fast-talking plant who vows to fulfill Seymour’s wildest dreams: fame, fortune and the heart of the girl her loves. There’s just one catch: the plant thirsts for human blood, and its growing pains send Seymour down a diabolical path with murderous consequences.

Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s “The Little Mermaid, “Beauty and the Beast”, & Aladdin”) are the creative team behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world. Music includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, "Skid Row (Downtown)","Somewhere That's Green" and "Suddenly Seymour". Due to popularity a film version of the musical was made in 1986 starring Rick Moranis, Steve Martin and Bill Murray.

There will be three shows presented by Spack On Stage: Friday, November 8th @ 7:00pm, Saturday, November 9th at 7:00pm, and Sunday, November 10th @ 2:00pm at Spackenkill High School Richard D. Woolley Auditorium.
